The first three steps would lower the input to our nervous system while the last step would lower our stimulation of the nervous system. Thus, creating an atmosphere of relaxation. Progressive Relaxation Technique This technique requires you to alternately tense and relax your muscles, and will help you in identifying the best way to extend relaxation to a specific stressed out muscle.
